We’re growing our team and looking for a dependable engineer who can support a key client onsite as needed while collaborating with our senior engineering team remotely.
This role will be dedicated to a large client in the O’Fallon/St. Louis MO area. You’ll serve as their primary support resource, working onsite when needed to handle hands-on tasks, equipment installs and network support. You’ll collaborate with our senior engineers in Columbia, MO, and handle escalations as part of a larger, well-supported team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary onsite engineer, with in-person presence based on client needs
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, firewalls, wireless networks and servers
- Perform hardware installs, cabling, and physical network support
- Escalate to and collaborate with our senior engineering team remotely
- Document network configurations and support actions clearly
- Communicate directly with the client’s internal teams and leadership
Experience:·
- 3+ years work experience in IT support or network engineering (MSP or internal IT)
- Hands-on experience with network infrastructure (VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, DNS)
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and/or Azure
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Clear, professional communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage client expectations onsite
- Bonus if you have experience with Fortinet, Cisco, ICS/OT networks, or Azure AD
Candidate Requirements
Candidate must have own transportation for travel to client sites.
Must be a current US citizen, be able to pass a background check with references.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or five years related experience
